FRP Fans
FRP fans are industrial fans made from FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) instead of metal. The most common type is an FRP Centrifugal Fan, which is used when the air contains chemicals or corrosive gases.

Where FRP fans are used
1. Chemical Industries
Used to handle gases like:
- Acid fumes
- Chemical vapors
- Corrosive gases
Example:
- Acid storage areas
- Chemical reactors
2. Acid Pickling Plants
In metal treatment plants where acid fumes are produced.
Common acids handled:
- Sulfuric acid fumes
- Hydrochloric acid fumes
3. Electroplating Plants
Electroplating produces toxic chemical fumes, and FRP fans remove these fumes safely.
4. Scrubber Systems
FRP fans are used after scrubbers to pull cleaned but still corrosive air.
Example process:
Tank → Scrubber → FRP Fan → Chimney
5. Battery Manufacturing
Lead-acid battery plants produce acid mist, which can corrode metal fans.
FRP fans are ideal for this environment.
Advantages of FRP fans
- Corrosion-resistant.
- Can handle acids and chemicals.
- Lightweight.
- Much lighter than steel fans.
- Long life in chemical environments
- Low maintenance
- No rusting
Typical applications
- Chemical plants
- Fertilizer plants
- Pharmaceutical industries
- Electroplating plants
- Pollution control systems
- Cement plants
- Steel industries.
