Centrifugal Fan – Direct Driven
Direct Driven Centrifugal Fans are compact and efficient, with the motor directly connected to the impeller. They provide reliable airflow, low maintenance, and are ideal for various industrial ventilation systems.

Usage of Direct Drive Centrifugal Fans
1. Clean Air Ventilation
Direct drive fans are commonly used where the air is clean and not dusty.
Examples:
- Office ventilation
- HVAC air handling units
- Fresh air supply systems
Because there are no belts, the system stays cleaner and requires less maintenance.
2. Small & Medium Airflow Systems
Direct drive is usually preferred for small to medium-sized fans.
Typical applications:
- Air handling units (AHU)
- Fan coil units
- Package AC units
3. Compact Machines
Direct drive fans are used when space is limited because:
- No belt system
- Smaller footprint
- Compact design
Example: fans inside HVAC units and air conditioners.
4. Low Maintenance Applications
Since there are no belts or pulleys, maintenance is very low.
No need for:
- Belt replacement
- Belt tension adjustment
- Pulley alignment
This is why they are used in buildings, hospitals, and commercial spaces.
This improves overall fan efficiency.
5. High Efficiency Systems
Direct drive fans are more energy efficient because:
- No belt losses (belt slip or friction)
- Motor power goes directly to the impeller
